Callisto 1.1 is a powerful 3D plug-in for Photoshop that lets you create terrains and planets from 2D input. The plug-in has been written up in MacWEEK and 3D DESIGN and full details are available at:

With Callisto you can open 3DMF models, create your own models from 2D input, and save your 3D art as 3DMF models or render straight into Photoshop. Full texture mapping is supported along with user control over lighting and background colors, etc.
Requires Quickdraw3D 1.5.3+ (free from Apple) in your System folder.
